Airport Way Flexes its Muscle
Capital Pacific closed the Portfolio sale of two Class A Industrial assets in the Airport Way submarket of Portland, Oregon. Prior to the property entering the market, Capital Pacific sourced a private investor and was successful in negotiating a seamless transaction. These quality assets received institutional interest, but Capital Pacific’s ability to find a generational investor that focused on the intrinsics of the real estate and long term viability of the area enabled them to be more competitive. Since the decision makers were private local investors, the transaction enjoyed a streamlined process, giving the seller certainty in a transitioning market.
Quality assets such as the Airport Way Portfolio are still in very high demand. The transaction closed in the midst of turmoil in the credit markets at the initially agreed upon price, even with the buyer obtaining new financing. The buyer and the seller were both represented by Capital Pacific.
