Brokerage Activity Continues Growth Trend
![]() Commentary by Zandy Smith This morning I read in the Wall Street Journal that the National Association of Realtors (NAR) has released its Commercial Leading Indicator for Brokerage Activity in the second quarter of this year. The study shows that activity was up 0.4% over the first quarter, while year-over-year the index was up 2.5% over the same period in 2005. I was unsurprised to read that commercial activity is up. Despite the fact that summer tends to be a slower time for the industry, I continue to see strong interest in the properties we have on the market. While our firm is engaged in property sales on a national level, I focus my research on the San Francisco Bay Area markets, and I've noted that construction of new commercial and housing developments continues at a robust pace. |
