ICSC: Scene (and Heard)
 This May, more than 45,000 brokers, owners, developers, and retailers descended on the Las Vegas Convention Center for the annual ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centers) Convention. This conference is traditionally where the nation’s leading dealmakers come together to do business. As in the past three years, ICSC attendees were cautiously optimistic about the market: continued demand for retail suggests that 2007 will be another strong year; but rising interest rates, the housing slowdown, and subdued consumer spending are all challenges to the marketplace. Capital Pacific had a booth at ICSC, making meetings more convenient and broadening our exposure at this national conference. |
